Sharpened Iron

Sharpened Iron

Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

ECCLESIASTES 10:10NLT & PROVERBS 27:17NIV

Men Outdoors

Change is not change until it is change.

No man is born again until he is born again.

A man might take sincere steps and repeat the same confessions as others who were marvelously transformed into newness of life, but if he did not make Jesus Lord out of his heart, there is no change. Until he has been converted, he is as much a sinner without God as the rebel who openly defies all the things of Heaven. There is no middle ground. There is no progress made. The light is on or it is off. Good works do not count. Church membership is a non-factor. Every man is right now gloriously saved and alive in Jesus or desperately dead and lost without Christ. Effort here is not part of the process. Change is required and he must know it. Nothing else matters.

And change is the only constant in the believer’s whole life. It is the process of growing and maturing in the family of God. Sons we are, and sons must put away childish things to inherit the kingdom won for him by the Lord Jesus. It’s his by birth and right, but experiencially, every believer is transformed by the renewinig of his mind to come into fullness. Every victory is only won by each real transition in life.
